We can Bear-ly Wait
As soon as I saw this Bear-ly Wait Baby Shower range I knew it would be perfect for a blog post to accompany it & I had to do one as soon as I could. I could bear-ly wait and couldn’t contain my excitement, as like I have previously mentioned, I do love a theme. So now the wait is over lets get started…
This range predominately features a Bear holding bunting that says 'It's a Boy', in a woodland environment, with plenty of trees and natural inspired colours, which is offset against a dark blue, almost green. The bear also has some friendly woodland friends with him including a cute fox and squirrel.
I do love a theme and this range could be styled with a variety of items, put alongside to compliment the nature that is featured in this range. This could include using wood slices, leaves, pine cones and acorns as well as plenty of fresh greenery. This time of year is perfect for that & it is a great opportunity to go outdoors on a walk and find things that could go alongside the party products.
You could include the outdoor feel through a variety of items for the Baby Shower. You could add touches of the outdoors to a sweet table or even make your own nature inspired decorations.
I saw this sign on a Google search and thought it would be perfect for this range – especially as it features a bear and fox.
This range screams Autumn and as we are now entering that time of this year, this range would be perfect for upcoming baby showers.
Plus, Autumn time and colder days, what could be more perfect then a Hot Chocolate bar? I personally love this idea of a Hot Chocolate Bar, especially as the mum to be won’t be able to drink alcohol so this is a great alternative. Plus it is suitable for all ages – young and old.
You could make up a batch of regular hot chocolate and then have various additions, that people can use to top it and pimp it to their taste.
You can include a variety of toppings. What about:
- Mini & regular Marshmallows
- Whipped Cream
- Cocoa Powder
- Grated Chocolate
- Chocolate chips
- Orange Zest
- Selection of sauces: Chocolate, caramel
You could also make your own Hot Chocolate with real Chocolate, for added luxury.
Create this by melting your chocolate of choice in a mix of double cream and milk. You could also create a few batches using a variety of different types of chocolate.
I styled a naming day with a similar woodland feel and these ideas or something similar could be used alongside this range also.
I combined natural products with props that fitted in within the theme. Including cuddly toys and also story books that had characters that would be at home in the forest, including The Gruffalo. I also used a fake grass table runner across the table and then placed everything on top.
A children table was also styled and kept within the theme. By sourcing woodland animal masks and also using a jar of the wild flowers and a very effective red balloon with white dots to resemble a toadstool.
I displayed wild flowers in jam jars to follow on with the natural theme. I also made this stick vase. I used an empty tin can and I decorated with sticks that I collected while out on a walk.
I just used a hot glue gun to glue the sticks directly onto the tin. I used a variety of sizes to help with the natural feel, then finished it with a jute twine bow.
Favours also followed the theme by making individual gingerbread owl cookies. All placed within wicker style tray and finished with a jute and lace bow.
A few of my favourite items from the range
We hope you have enjoyed reading this blog, as much as we have writing it.
If you have a friend or a family member who is expecting a baby boy and can bear-ly wait to meet him, then please share this with them.
